Eels Time! is the fifteenth studio album by American indie rock band Eels. It was released on June 7 2024. Mellow, melodic and contemplative which is not surprising as it was made after his heart surgery.
Plenty to like here, even an ode to his goldfish.

Cult classic pairs Cort as a dead-pan disillusioned 20-year-old obsessed with suicide and a loveable Gordon as a fun-loving 80-year-old eccentric. They meet at a funeral, and develop a taboo romantic relationship, in which they explore the tired theme of the meaning of life with a fresh perspective.
Directed by Hal Ashby, score by Cat Stevens which compliments the movie perfectly. Tracks include Trouble, Wild World and Miles From Nowhere.

Memphis Slim - Bluesville Presents
Memphis Slim (1915-1988)was an American blues pianist, singer, and composer. He led a series of bands that, reflecting the popular appeal of jump blues, included saxophones, bass, drums, and piano.
An extraordinarily prolific artist who created over 500 recordings during his lifetime, he used his soulful voice and booming piano to bring an imposing air of authority to his unique brand of music and was instrumental in bridging the gap between traditional and urban blues.
Memphis Slim released his first hit single “Beer Drinkin’ Woman” and was a regular session musician for the likes of Sonny Boy Williamson. Many of his performances were with Big Bill Broonzy, who had recruited him to fill in for his recently-deceased piano player.
